Mercury Bay Art Escape is dedicated to encouraging the arts in our community and in

particular creativity by local students.

We are excited to announce a Youth Photography Competition and Exhibition for students

under 18 living on the Coromandel Peninsula.

We know there are many talented young creatives here, and we can’t wait to see your images.

📸 Competition Details

Theme: Coromandel Summer
Eligibility: Open to anyone under 18 who lives on the Coromandel Peninsula
Image requirements: Photos must be taken in 2025
Entries open: 28 November 2025
Entries close: 14 December 2025
One entry per person
Free to enter

🏆 Prizes & Exhibition

The top 20 images will be printed and exhibited at Hot Waves Café, Hot Water Beach
These images will also be displayed online on the Mercury Bay Art Escape website
One overall winner will also receive a $100 Prezzie Card

Terms and Conditions

General

1.1) Entrants into the Mercury Bay Art Escape (MBAE) Photo Competition 2025 shall be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions.

1.2) The Photo Competition is open to Coromandel residents who are aged under 18

1.3) Entrants confirm that each individual whose image is featured in the Competition entry has given consent for the use of his/her image in connection with this Competition and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

1.4) Entries open 28th November 2025 and close 14th of December 2025.

1.5) You own the copyright to your Competition entry as its author. Your entry must be your own work, must not be copied, must not contain any third-party materials and/or content that you do not have permission to use, must not include any trademarks, and must not show inappropriate or dangerous behaviour, or otherwise be obscene, defamatory, distasteful, offensive, or in breach of any applicable law or regulation, or in breach of any confidentiality obligations owed by you to third parties. If MBAE has reason to believe your entry is not your own work or otherwise breaches these Terms and Conditions, then MBAE may not consider it and may disqualify it.

1.6) Images must be taken with a camera or phone (NO A.I. Images)

1.7) The theme is Coromandel Summer, we welcome any genre of photography
