"Being a lover of landforms and landscapes I find I am drawn to painting pictures that reflect the various moods that are created with consideration given to time of day, intensity and angle of light and the textures and colours of land and water, be they rivers, lakes or sea.
In this piece, the fenceline gives a sense of land use. The weathered and lichen covered post depicts one of its purposes over time.
This piece incorporates alcohol inks and acrylic paint on yupo (synthetic paper). Having worked and experimented with various different mediums I find this combination allows a reasonable degree of flexibility to create more complex effects."
