My favourite art form is sculpture. Sculpture because I love texture. I love looking at texture, touching it and creating it. I do this through spending time with my grandies seeing textures and cavities present on beach rocks and the seaweed flowing in from the sea. All of this inspires me and spills over into my art process.

Glazing gives me an element of surprise. I can blend/mix a variety of glazes to produce a desired effect that may or may not come out of the kiln as expected. I have no control over the final product, but at the same time the anticipation of the unknown is quite exciting. I can only manipulate the clay to make my desired item, apply the glaze and then I have to let go.
