I am a landscape painter. I paint mostly in watercolours but occasionally use pastels and recently have been experimenting in linocut prints.

My studio is mostly outdoors where I am mostly comfortable painting. I find my paintings are more fresh and alive when painted in the open air capturing the unique atmosphere and I am sure a little bit of my soul in each piece.

It is not easy painting outdoors being at the mercy of the weather, crowd, noise etc but something I am used to having travelled and painted extensively overseas.

I have 25 years experience painting in watercolours having gained a Diploma in Art and Creativity (Honours) from The Learning Connexion in Wellington in 2001.

My inspiration is all about painting the light in this transparent beautiful medium. My style being to capture a creative impression rather than a realistic copy of my subject.
