We are 9 artists from the Whitianga Art Group exhibiting in 2026. Our names are Margaret Gibson, Jenny Cotterell, Misun Thompson, Nathan Holden, Merle Ward, Junko Hooper, Julie Ellis, Louise Cook and Denise Gunson.
We are exhibiting paintings, weaving and glass art.
We are part of a larger group of 30+ members first established in 1979.
The Art Group meets regularly two to three times a week to paint and create together.
We are very fortunate to own a large historical school building constructed in 1895 and relocated from the old schoolsite to the recreational reserve at the end of School Road Whitianga.
