I paint in acrylics on canvas and paper expressing myself in colour and form. I love the way colours spark off each other including overlaying transparent paint and looking at the new colours created.
While I still enjoy painting broad sweeping landscapes and seascapes on large canvases, more recently my work has taken a new and more intimate direction.
‘Domesticity’ perhaps summarises the subject matter with a focus on perennial garden landscapes as well as flower forms. Further to this I have been drawing and painting various types of houses, and then the objects and materials that may be found in those houses.
