Light and movement through the day provide the inspiration for colour shifts and expressive energies in my work. Lines, shapes and complex surface textures come from references to my childhood in the tussock country of the South Island and my Coromandel Peninsula coastal residence. Mark making from printmaking influences my works in oil and cold wax and challenges me when using acrylics.
