I have been in love with creating pottery since 1981.
For me there is nothing like making something out of a lump of clay and following it through until it's glazed and comes out of the kiln. Such excitement, it's hard to wait two days for the kiln to cool to see which pieces have excelled and passed my expectations. It doesn't always happen, this is the joy or the heartbreak.
Fortunately everybody's taste is different, and what I love may or may not appeal to you or you may see the beauty in a different piece.
It is a privilege to work with clay, the hardest part is getting your mind out of the way and letting the clay speak through you and with you, we are entwined in a delicate dance.
