I paint WITH my dyslexia. Building up the colours, textures, paint on and paint off.
Scumbling , glazes . The juxtaposition of colours creating the shapes. The lines from the seascapes and landscapes interconnecting. A tapestry of faceted colour form the composition. My visual kaleidoscope soothes my eye.
I call this style of my painting Kaos.
Cuvier Island on a beautiful calm day. Painted at a time when humanity was waging war with itself. An island of serenity amongst the calamity and destruction.

The Working Girls of Whitianga...
Much older like myself the core of the fishing fleet remains the same. Like trinkets amongst the sparkle on a Christmas tree the boats entertain those who watch as they fidget and strain against their tethers with the ebb and flow of the tide.
A constant in a changed world.
Oddly reassuring that not everything that was. Has now been lost.
