Sally Tennent-Brown - Coromandel
My approach is strongly intuitive & the outcome often somewhat whimsical.
Work comprises diverse materials from heavy jute cordage to delicate threads home-spun from strips of found paper & dress-making patterns.
Miniatures, collages, assemblage, large-scale installations are all informed by a sensed response to colour, material & medium, & also possible dialogue – the idea that an artwork can be a signpost, a travel-guide to new or different paths of consideration. .. of the nature of beauty & human potential. ... Big & broad concepts, but actually, I just love what I do : )
