Flax Weaving and Photography
I love experimenting with anything that can be woven, but mostly I grow, harvest, dye and weave NZ flax (harakeke). I’ve been weaving for 13 years, having attained a Bachelor of Maori Visual Art. Currently I am producing a range of contemporary one-off sculptured bodices. I also love to document and photograph my work, which has resulted in a range of limited edition prints, alongside my greeting card series.
I will not be open for the Open Studio tour in 2021 but will be teaching a flax weaving beginner’s class.
