Martinus Sarangapany
Printmaking
LOCATION:

Born in the Far North, I have lived a rather nomadic lifestyle. Graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in 2014, I took part in a residency at Te Kowhai Print Trust. This is where I began to experiment with the many techniques of printmaking and found an affinity with woodcut. Since then I have taken part in many exhibitions throughout the country as well as exhibiting in America, Argentina, Australia, and China. I also helped to organise the biggest print event in New Zealand, “Printapalooza”, a largescale print festival using a two tonne road roller.
