Hand forged knives
I was always making something with my hands, right from a toddler. I then spent 15 years as a joiner/cabinetmaker and have now been crafting knives for 30 years. Each knife is an individual item. I do not use patterns or templates. They are hammered (forged) to the complete shape from recycled car coil springs, followed by hardening and tempering.
The handles feature native wood, whale bone, deer antler, with fittings of alloy or brass. I also use recycled kauri to make a selection of spatulas and other kitchen aids. Organic fruit and nuts grown on the property are often available.
